Choosing support for your child is a big decision. It's okay to have doubts, questions, or a long list of "but what if...". This is where I try to answer them honestly — no jargon, no faff. Just straight answers.

You don't need to figure that out before you get in touch. I offer a free initial assessment — a conversation where we talk through what you're seeing at home, what your child is finding difficult, and what feels most urgent right now.
Based on that, I'll recommend the programme that makes the most sense for your child. Sometimes it becomes obvious straight away. Sometimes we start with one area and adjust as we go. Either way, we work it out together.

No. Many of the children I work with are awaiting an assessment or have never been formally diagnosed. What matters is what's happening for your child right now — not what's written on a piece of paper.
If your child is struggling, that's enough reason to reach out.

Rise Minds supports children aged 6–11 (KS1 and KS2). If your child is outside this range, get in touch and I'll point you in the right direction.

By making it fun. Sessions use games, interactive activities, and on-screen tools — so your child is doing something, not just listening to someone talk to them.
We follow your child's energy. If something isn't landing, we switch it up. Most children who were reluctant at the start end up genuinely looking forward to their sessions — and that shift usually happens faster than parents expect.

All Rise Minds sessions are online. For many neurodivergent children, this actually works better — they're in their own space, which tends to feel safer and far less overwhelming than meeting someone new somewhere unfamiliar.
All you need is a device with a camera and a quiet-ish spot at home.

Parents are welcome to be on a sesseion — some children find it reassuring to have a parent nearby. However, evidences shows that children tend to open up more and take more risks when they have a little independent space. We'll talk through what works best for your child before we start.

It happens — and it's completely okay. I'm trained to work calmly through difficult moments. We don't push through, we pause, reset, and try a different approach.
Your child will never be pressured or made to feel like they've done something wrong. The session is a safe space, full stop.

Not exactly. The core approach stays the same — safe, personalised, and built around your child — but the way sessions are delivered shifts depending on age.
For children aged 6–8, we use more visual tools, shorter activities, and plenty of movement breaks to match how younger children process and stay regulated.
For children aged 9–11, sessions feel more dynamic. We can go deeper, work with more abstract thinking, and your child has more say over what we focus on.

It depends on the child and the programme, but most parents notice small shifts within the first four to six weeks — less resistance at home, a new phrase, a moment of trying without prompting. Real, lasting change takes time, but it's trackable.
I share progress updates regularly so you can see what's changing — even when it feels like nothing is.

You'll receive a written update after sessions — what we worked on, what clicked, and what to look out for at home. Depending on your programme, this is either weekly or monthly. You're always part of the process, even when you're not in the room.

Not at all. Rise Minds works alongside what the school is doing, not against it. The tools your child builds in sessions often help them get more from their school support too.
If there are strategies already in place, I'm happy to align with those from the start.

Sessions are £180 per month for one session per week (four per month, 45 minutes each). You can opt fpr more days a week if you wish. There is a contract in place — it's there to protect both you and me — but it's not a long-term commitment.
If at any point you feel the support isn't right for your child, you can stop. No awkward conversations, no penalties. I just ask that you let me know so we can close things properly and, if it's helpful, talk through next steps for your child.

Rise Minds isn't about helping your child catch up with the curriculum. It's about what's underneath — the anxiety, the shutdowns, the "I can't do this." We focus on emotional skills and mindset first, because when those are in place, learning (and life) becomes a lot more manageable.
If your child needs academic support, a tutor is great. If your child needs to believe they're capable — that's where Rise Minds comes in.

That's completely normal — especially for children who've had difficult experiences with learning or adults in authority. Building trust takes time, and I don't rush it.
If after a month it genuinely isn't the right fit, we'll have an honest conversation about that. There's no pressure to continue if it's not working.
